Graphic Design Senior Project 2015

Qatar has had many mascots over the years, but most them, if not all, die after a while. In most cases, the characters wither away because they are unmemorable style-wise, or they have no story behind them that people will relate to. In my investigations, I want to study character development, and design a mascot that is relevant to Qatar and it’s culture. My aim is to create a story behind this character and make it memorable, I want to brand Qatar using character design combined with graphic design. I want to design a character that represents the culture and aspirations of Qatar. Ultimately, my aim is to design an international ambassador for Qatar that will absorb the identity of the nation and present both the culture and our way of life to the rest of the world.
